It's been a while...yes I know. But my life has been BUSY with a capital B!! First off work. We have been working on a big mineral/oil project in Magoffin County. And this crap wears me out. My eyes are crossed by the end of the day. But keeping my fingers crossed I think we are done. Now we have to go to Lawrence County. Fun. Plus our residential side is booming with a ton of closings. I guess it's good for job security but man I'm beat.
Now the holidays are here and being from a split family....it can be tough to see everybody and keep everybody happy. So I decided that this year I am going to do what I want to do at my own pace. If it makes someone mad...oh well!! I have my babies and Jeremy and I am completely happy with that! Plus I make the time to see my "Framily" who I love dear and keeps me sane. I have the best set anyone could have ever asked for. We had our 1st Annual Framily Thanksgiving dinner a few weekends ago and it was awesome!! The food was the best and the company was #1 in my book. Lauren and Jay were wonderful hosts and everybody brought some incredible food. And the corn pudding was the bomb. HAHAHA!! (Inside joke) I am already looking forward to our next event and trying to come up with things so I can get together with my girls!
This time of year makes me think about a few things. #1 my Pappaw. At 85 I know that these holidays are precious to him and to me. He is a big part of why I am who I am. He's amazing and I say a prayer every night that the good Lord keeps him here with me just a little longer. I love that my girls are growing up with him there. I can remember when I was little and he would come get me in his big oil truck and I'd say "I'll go get my coat Pappaw!" I was his girl and to this day I still am. The girls and I are leaving Friday to go spend the whole weekend with him and I am sooo excited. I will post pics when I get back.
And another thing I reflect on now is my close friends. I am so very blessed to have some of the most wonderful girls in my life. I can talk to them about anything and know they will understand and support me whatever I may be facing. I look forward to all the memories we are going to make with each other and our families.
Alright....there. I did it. Now to be a bit more consistent with my entries...

A heartbreaker and grilling
What another great weekend. Riley went to her Aunt Becca's Friday night and had a blast spending the night. But as always her baby sister was ecstatic to see her when she got home Saturday. On Saturday evening I was glued to the TV in hopes a magnificent mare would go down in history as one of the greatest race horses ever. Zenyatta. What a beautiful horse. And she knows it!! But in a heartbreaking race she lost by a head. I cried like a baby. Horses are my life. Have been since I was little. And after she lost I wanted to go home so bad and wrap my arms around my great big Bailey.
Bailey is my big red boy and May is my pretty gray girl.
Anyway to cap off a great weekend Jeremy grilled out some amazing Ribeye steaks. His parents came over and we had a great time as always. My only issue is getting the girls use to the time change....and Momma to!Now I am geared up for another busy week but I am SOOO PUMPED for next Sunday and the 1st Annual Framily Thanksgiving dinner!!!

Shewww...what a weekend!
What a wild weekend. Friday I had a parent teacher confrence with Riley's teacher. She got a wonderful report card and great comments from her teacher. I was beaming!! Then I had to rush and get the girls to get them home in time for Nicholasville's Trick or Treat. I escorted a Minne Mouse and a Vampire Cowgirl (hers and Jeremy's idea). It got cold quick and we came home for chilli with Jeremy's parents. I was sooo ready to lay it down!! We got up the next day and headed to Cynthiana. We went to the doggie costume parade. Very cute!!! Then the girls and I headed to the one, the only Leonos!!! I was craving a hot ham and cheese sandwhich. It was yummy!!! We then went to Cathy's house for the annual Himes Halloween party. Man she is a haloween decoration genius!!! And I love being around the whole family!! We met up with Miss Stephanie and met Mary Joey and the boys for some more Trick Or Treating. I got to see the cutest lil Red chilli Pepper ever. Aka Ross. I didn't get as much time as I would have liked there but it was oh sooo nice to be home. My heart just swells with love when I'm there. I love my life in Nichvegas but there is a part missing and it's my "framily". I can't wait to go home for our 1st annual thanksgiving dinner. It's going to be a blast as always!!!
